Meet Andrea CATANIA, our new Sales Manager
Andrea Catania has joined OMMA Srl and Novacel Group in April 2023 as Sales Manager.
He will operate in the structure by supporting and helping the company and Novacel Special Machines division in all sales activities with the aim of developing business and establish fruitful added-value cooperation with customers.
Andrea Catania has chosen Novacel group for the development of his career. He shares with us his first impressions, his role and his objectives within Novacel's Machine activity.
Could you tell me about yourself and describe your background?
My name is Andrea Catania, I am 42 years old and I was born in Monza. I am happily married and proud father of a three years old boy and of a girl just one month old. No great amount of time to relax with two little children to take care of, but very satisfied of my life!
After high school, I graduated in Management Engineering in 2006 at Politecnico di Milano. I started my career with a two-year experience in an aluminum extrusion multinational company; I covered logistics and technical roles in line with my university education.
After a first successful sales experience in 2009-2010 in an insurance company, I decided to join a material testing machines manufacture as Sales Manager for 5 years.
During that period (2010-2015), I realized that sales activity was my path to follow. Sales is the activity that brings me satisfaction and makes me happy.
I spent a very excited experience in sales, in a rubber belts company from October 2015 to January 2022. During those years, I enlarged my life vision by travelling worldwide, meeting different people of different sectors such as woodworking, metalworking, paper industry and electric cable industry. Thanks to this experience, I learned to prioritize customer’s needs. By accumulating experience, I realized the importance of active listening and empathy. These aspects are essential to fulfill customer’s needs at best.
After a year of experience in 2022 as an Export Manager, in a company involved in metalworking, more precisely on sheet metal bending and welding solutions, I received OMMA proposal in February 2023 and I decided to join the team with enthusiasm .
What will be your role in OMMA and Novacel Special Machines division?
I will be Sales Manager in OMMA and Novacel Special Machines division and I will help our team in growing business and establishing very strong relationships with our customers.
My goal is to bring my experience and passion to the company and give my best every day to serve our customers and improved their satisfaction in our solutions.
Why did you choose OMMA and Novacel Special machine division?
I chose to join OMMA and Novacel Special machine division because the received proposal was very attractive to me.
I see this opportunity as a new challenge and I am excited for this new adventure. I am convinced that this experience will allow me to constantly grow as person and as professional Sales Manager.
I am amazed by the vision of OMMA and the Novacel Special machine division of being customer-oriented, by designing and proposing tailor-made solutions.
What are your ambitions and how do you want to grow during this experience?
My main ambition is to be happy and peaceful and, in order to achieve this target; I am trying to live my life always with passion, both in my private and professional life.
My expectation during this experience is to be constantly motivated by the team and by the customers. I want to face new daily challenges.
I will try to do my best thanks to the cooperation of all my team-workers; I will be always ready to share opinions and visions. I am ready to learn from any member of the team.
